Border Collie DogsBorder Collie dogs are a medium size dog that comes in a selection of colors that can be black and white, tri-color, red and white, yellow and white, sable and all black. The coat is a lengthy rough fur or a soft close cropped coat of fur. The Border Collie requires frequent maintenance and grooming especially during times when they are prone to shedding.
The Border Collie is a very smart breed of dog. Border Collie dogs are spry and agile athletic type of breed. Border Collie's are fast learners and quickly adapt to dog obedience training. They are very energetic with lots of spirit and tremendous stamina. Border Collie dogs are natural pack leaders and demand human attention to set boundaries so they know you are the real alpha leader. Border Collies love to please their owners and need to have structured exercise and tasks in order to fulfill that desire. The Border Collie easily becomes socialized as a puppy if presented with the opportunit.
Not surprisingly, the Border Collie will require regular vigorous exercise and enjoys playful interaction that includes praise and rewards along with gently discipline.

around people and other dogs?
